I went to this restaurant based on google recommendations, and they definitely did not disappoint! I had the Madras dish, no. 59. There was quite a lot of heat, great taste experiences all in all. Luckily I didn't take the hottest option, i.e. Vindaloo. It would have been definitely too much for my taste. The waiter explained the different levels of spiciness excellently. The restaurant was nice and clean. The place has a so-called open kitchen, so you can watch the food being prepared. This was definitely a great dining experience in Stavanger, I highly recommend it.

We visited this restaurant today with my family and were warmly welcomed by our waitress, Pamela. Since it was our first time, she kindly recommended some dishes from the menu, which turned out to be absolutely delicious. It is truly a pleasure to experience such a high level of service. I will definitely be recommending this restaurant and its excellent service to all my friends.

Very tasty and yummy foods. The only trade off is the portion size is quite small (or maybe just my dish). I’m a small woman and yet I find it small. Need to have 2 extra naan breads to fill up my stomach + 1 main dish + rice
A fresh and vibrant menu, modern restaurant with nice atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff. Zouq is a real gem of a place, and would be an essential stop for me in any city in the world. The menu is varied and exciting, with good descriptions in Norwegian and English. I chose a street food meal as I was not in the mood for a large banquet, but even so the portion sizes were very generous and I left with a very happy tummy! The dishes themselves (garlic tikka wrap and samosa chaat) were beautifully flavoured and balanced, with the fresh, crunchy salad, and a delightful mix of flavours and textures complimenting each other. Service was great and overall the experience was excellent. As a solo diner I felt at ease, and enjoyed the gentle music and tasteful decor, as well as watching the action in the open kitchen. Great value for money, my meal cost less than a burger meal from a delivery app and was far more satisfying.
